This was a mini day task were we had to think of a famous or iconic person, dead or alive, and create a poster that communities them but in an effective way and without using there face.
I have just fleshed out a few roughs of Michael Jackson and playing around with the concept of moonwalking. The idea is to communicate a specific person by showing something they did or something they believe in, rather than an obvious image of them.
Some more rough ideas. I have chosen to do Buddha for this task.
This was the A2 poster of Buddha that I created. The shape is of simple cut out paper but it almost looks like a vector. The shape of the head with the spike at the top and the long ears makes it obvious who this person is. The task was that we weren't allowed to use the persons face so I removed his face completely and it is still clear who it is. I will try and apply a similar approach o the rest of this brief.
